Rifle hunting:
Very little compares to the experience of hunting Africa, which boasts the most diverse game species in the world.
We recommend the following rifles for plainsgame:
Small-medium game a .270/30-06
Big game a .300Win mag and higher
Dangerous game a .375 or higher is required by SA Law
Bowhunting:
The challenge of pursuing game fair chase is aptly met with a bow and arrow. Our bowhunting is walk-and-stalk with blinds available.
Small-medium game requires a 40-60 lb bow with an arrow weight between 375-gr & 400-gr., and larger plainsgame a 60-80 lb bow with an arrow weight of 430-gr and heavier.
Dangerous game necessitates a minimum of 80 lbs with an arrow weight of at least 800-gr and a fixed blade broadhead.
Wingshooting:
Our waterfowl and upland bird hunting is of the finest quality in South Africa.
Waterfowl includes Egyptian geese, Spurwing geese, yellow-billed ducks, white-faced whistling ducks, African shell ducks, knob-billed ducks, Hottentots teals, red-billed teals, and Cape teals.
Upland species include Guineafowl, Natal and Swainson's francolin etc. Dove hunting on farms with expansive sunflower and maize fields is especially enjoyable. Birds can be hunted with or without dogs.
Clay pigeon shooting:
A unique and action-packed way to spend one's leisure time is clay target shooting.
Macnabs:
The ultimate way to test your outdoor skills is to fill your hours with the ultimate challenge of a Macnab: pursuing fish, fowl, and mammals unique to a province consecutively. Picture early morning coffee or tea and rusks before we hit the water fishing. After we catch a fish, we shoot upland birds like francolin or guineafowl, and finally we set out looking for an animal to hunt. Everything is done between sunrise and sunset on the same day!
